📓Lost and Found: It's the great album, Charlie Brown
I was able to interview the artist who is redesigning album artwork to feature everyone's favorite Peanuts Character
“To live is to dance, to dance is to live.” - Snoopy
Arellhyn, aka pauligrafi_ takes album covers and gives them some good grief. She took some time to answer questions I had for her about her depictions of the most famous comic-book Beagle.

MG: What inspired you to start drawing Snoopy as album covers?
A: Well, drawing album covers has always been something that I love to do, I consider that they are what I like most about music, most of the time the album [art] combines totally with what you’re listening to, it's magic for me. And well, adding Snoopy is just because I have a great connection with him, I identify myself a lot with what Snoopy represents, especially since I have always been a quiet girl.
I was inspired by the k.k slider of animal crossing trend a year ago to make the 'snoopy covers'.

MG: How long have you been an artist?
A: Professionally, I would say that since I was 15 years old. I started to take drawing more seriously, taking courses and attending art schools, but I consider that I have always felt a passion for drawing. It is not the only branch that I practice, I also like cinema and film production, also music is something that interests me a lot, but I don't have a lot of talent in it.

MG: Do you listen to the albums that you are drawing when you make the Snoopy covers? (Did you listen to Punisher when you were making the Phoebe Bridgers Cover art)
A: Actually yes! BuaHahahaha, I honestly feel that by doing that in a way I made the time go by fast and I feel that it helped me to put the personality of the records in my drawings!

MG: What are some of your favorite albums and musicians to listen to now?
A: For now my favorite artists are Black Country New road, Bjork, Clairo and I recently discovered an artist called Vashti Bunyan and her music is beautiful! And my favorite albums I would say now are, Velocity : Design : Comfort (2003) since I Left You (2000) and Romantic Warrior (1976).

MG: How much are your commissions?
A: For now my prices range from 10 to 50 dollars being the highest price, I am skilled with most materials, and I am very good with oil, colored pencils, and especially with crayons.
I mostly do digital drawings but if they are from Mexico, especially Guadalajara, JAL. I sell traditional paintings!

MG: What is your favorite Charlie Brown/Peanuts movie?
A: I love all the Charlie Brown movies but Charlie and the great pumpkin “It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” is my favorite by far, it has a lot of meaning to me and teaches and represents important values like determination, self-confidence, and acceptance, maybe I'm a little corny — but wow — Snoopy and Charlie Brown are so important to me!
I commissioned a snoopification of one of my favorite albums just for this newsletter below. You can request Snoopy Album Artwork for yourself here so you can have your own normal, ordinary dog like everyone else.
I learn something new every time I read one of your stories. I love the album covers. What a unique idea.
